Cost Accounting Manager


This is a Full-time position in Anaheim, CA posted March 5, 2021.

nn We are seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to join our team!

Join a high-performance company that designs and manufacturers performance engineered architectural lighting fixtures.

nn nn n nn nnThe Cost Accounting Manager is a crucial role to the success of our company.

This position will be responsible for the monthly and yearly close process as it relates to inventory and cost accounting and will evaluate cost accounting processes, recommend improvements and work with internal business partners to implement change.

Manufacturing costing experience is required.nn nn n nn nn Job Duties & Responsibilities:nn Responsible for Product costs and Inventory control.

Developing and maintaining procedures to improve internal control and ensure financial compliance.

Analyze variances and prepare a wide range of reports to meet the needs of various internal business partners, including manufacturing, to drive cost optimization.

Perform month end book closing, focusing on COGM and asset’s process to ensure accurate closer and timely report submission.

Be in charge of Manufacturing cost budgeting, and provide actual vs budgeted tracking and variance analysis.

Provide oversight for the plant controls and risk prevention.

Drive process efficiency in the plant by supporting SOP setup and implementation, and internal control requirements.

Represent factory finances on factory related audit, tax, insurance and other financial request from local regulations.

Develop the costing standard, to support on the profitability analysis and business decision making.

Support cost optimization initiatives, develop cost saving plan, and measure its execution.

Track CAPEX budget, actual spend status and provide timely booking (including CIP, capitalization, depreciation and disposal).

Provide training on the costing technology, and be the key member to support on SAP system development in production and costing areas.

nn n nn nn Qualifications: nn B.S.

in Accounting, Finance or equivalent field.

5 plus years of cost accounting experience required.

CPA/CMA preferred.

Strong quantitative analysis skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required.

Proficient Excel and SAP strongly preferred.

Broad financial/business acumen experience preferred.

Must be a self-starter, capable to operate at a high level of performance in a dynamic environment.
