Construction Superintendent

This is a Contract position in Anaheim, CA posted May 19, 2022.

Join our Growing TeamWe are currently looking for a Construction Superintendent with a minimum of 8 years of experience as a lead Project Superintendent constructing public, and or private commercial facilities.

The ideal Superintendent candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the project jobsite, working to achieve on-time completions, on budget and with the highest quality workmanship.

Experience with Public K-12 Education, Higher Education and Municipal Government markets is highly desired.

ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day management and oversight of all jobsite activities and operations from project inception to completion.Direct field personnel in accordance with project plans in conjunction with the Project Manager and General Superintendent.In conjunction with the Project Manager, resolve all field conflicts and or personnel conflict.Coordinate assigned work with of different subcontracting trades, company departments, or other contractors.Ensures quality compliance through use of specifications, setting quality standards, and leveraging in–house QA/QC and outside resources.Establish effective working relationships with clients and A.D.

Morgan team members.Participate in project schedule development during the pre-construction phase and maintain project schedule throughout the entire construction process.Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections.Develop project progress reporting through three week lookahead scheduling shared with the entire project team.Assist in resolving onsite construction related issues (lack of productivity, subcontractor workforce management, interfaces, etc.) as required.Maintain compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.Ensure accurate daily recording and documentation of project progress, activities, and onsite manpower, through project software, PROCORE.Develop effective site logistics plans prior to mobilization and ensure a seamless mobilization process.Manages material and equipment needs for the project.Communicate project progress with clients and project managers.Leads various meetings including daily standup and weekly trade meetings.Attends, manages and participates in appropriate progress and/or project OAC meetings.Gains understanding of the project pursuit process and methodology.Always promotes positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors while instilling this philosophy in the project team.QualificationsBuilding Construction and or Engineering degree preferred or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience.Minimum of 8 years of construction jobsite supervisory experience in similar facility construction, technology, methods, equipment, tools and work procedures required.Strong leadership characteristics and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Must be able to clear a background check.Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and demonstrated ability to control and supervise large groups.Experience in Public K-12, Higher Education, Municipal Government and or Industrial construction projects is desired.
