Job Details

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist Hiring Managers in all phases of the recruitment process including creating job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate selection and presenting offers. Evaluates potential candidates to selectively build and maintain a strong, diverse candidate pool that are a good fit. Ensures that all required and relevant paperwork is completed for the candidates and new hires, as well as communicating to all appropriate personnel regarding new employment orientation. Responsible for ensuring all applicant and candidate information is entered into the applicant tracking system in a detailed and timely manner. Assists with updates to recruitment policies and procedures and supports special projects and events as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must demonstrate a solid commitment to excellent customer service and quality healthcare.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate mature judgment and interpersonal skills, initiative and critical thinking.
  • Great multitasker and prioritizing abilities. Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Professional appearance.
  • Ability to relate to diverse communities.
  • Able to work flexible hours as required.
  • Works well independently with some supervisory direction.

**Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding employee meetings and information.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years recruitment experience; healthcare recruitment is preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Proven success in sourcing, screening, interviewing and placement of qualified healthcare candidates, including licensed staff.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with hiring managers to hire quality staff committed to the organization’s mission.
  • Possess a working knowledge of California employment law.
  • Outstanding customer service skills including communication and follow-up with hiring managers, candidates and co-workers.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure that the Human Resources Department has an internal and external reputation of competency, fairness, confidentiality and the highest level of customer service.
  • Remain current on all applicable laws, regulatory compliance and standards of practice in your area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for filling open positions in a timely manner and in accordance with established “time to hire” metrics including but not limited to processing personnel requisitions, sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
  • Partner with the hiring manager and demonstrate in depth understanding of the position requirements including required and preferred criteria, appropriate candidate sourcing avenues and an identified timeline.
  • Regularly communicate with the hiring manager, keeping her/him informed regarding updates, issues and timelines.
  • Utilize persuasive ability, influencing skills and recruitment expertise to effectively resolve issues with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Schedule candidate interviews, conducting pre-employment screening steps (i.e. application, resume, reference checks, appropriate assessment testing, background checks, etc.), preparing employment offer letters, following up on offers, and scheduling new hires for orientation.
  • Develop, build and maintain candidate relationships through ongoing communications promoting interest in position and organization.
  • Responsible for applicant tracking and ensuring all data is entered in the system promptly allowing for immediate access to staffing metrics.
  • Maintain and make changes as needed to the UltiPro recruitment module.
  • Generate status reports.
  • Responsible for updating internal job postings as needed, advertising position openings on appropriate recruitment sites and informing external agencies and organizations about our openings as appropriate. Ensuring postings meet compliance requirements in accordance with state and federal law.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of the recruiting sites to ensure postings are effective.
  • Ensure recruitment efforts support the Organization’s diversity goals.
  • Answer employment opportunity questions from potential internal and external applicants.
  • Presents screened candidates to hiring managers.
  • Assists in the design and maintenance of the Human Resources Recruitment website.
  • Represent Organization at career fairs.
  • Promote the Organization as Employer of Choice whenever possible and appropriate.
