Facilities/Maintenance Technician

This is a Full-time position in Anaheim, CA posted March 23, 2021.

Maintenance Technician installs, maintains and repairs production machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and plumbing and assists in the installation of electrical systems in a high-production industrial environment. May also perform emergency repairs and assist with equipment installations as needed. Maintenance Technician will be exposed to hazardous waste while performing daily job duties will undergo Chemical Handling training prior to the start of performing these duties, will actively participate in ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training.Duties and Responsibilities:* Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble and examines the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections and changes in dimensional requirements.* Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems and visually inspects, listens to and troubleshoots machinery, equipment and mechanical devices.* Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, repairs or replaces defective parts and/or dismantles defective machines/equipment to gain access to and/or remove defective parts.* Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses the malfunction with supervisor and/or other maintenance workers to diagnose the malfunction.* Lubricates and cleans parts and/or installs new or repaired parts when required.* Installs or repairs basic electrical apparatus such as wiring and electrical or electronic components of machinery and equipment and starts devices to test their performance.* Assists in the installation of feeders, branch circuit wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.* Troubleshoots malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, relays and contactors and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables and repairs or replaces faulty electrical components of the machine such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices.* Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment and lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.* Repairs and maintains the physical structure of establishment.* Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions and other wooden structures and installs and repairs or replaces plumbing fixturesEssential Knowledge and Skills:* Forklift, operates cutting torch, welding equipment, lathe, Mill a plus.* Valid driver’s license.* Willingness to work any shift, flexibility to work additional hoursEducation and Experience:* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.* Minimum two (2) years of experience and/or training in the area of maintaining production machinery/equipment; a good understanding and working knowledge of mechanical systems; and ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and other related drawings required.Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, disability or protected veteran status.
