X Ray Technician

This is a Contract position in Anaheim, CA posted July 12, 2022.

Description: The X-Ray Technician works with the physician and other members of the primary or specialty care team by performing a variety of clinical and administrative patient-related duties. This person also works to fulfill a variety of patient needs and ensures smooth patient flow within the department. Duties/Responsibilities Greet patients on the phone and in person Place patients in the exam rooms Take vital signs and perform ancillary tests appropriate to skill level Assist and setup up for providers during examination, treatment, and procedures Perform x-rays Keep accurate logs of x-rays Keep accurate patient files Apply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by provider Ensure rooms are stocked with necessary supplies Maintain a sanitized and safe working environment Maintain HIPAA Coordination of services between multiple practices demonstrable by excellent communication skills Perform other x-ray and medical assistant duties as necessary Requirements: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies Ability to adapt to advancement and changing technology Ability to show attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of staff Basic typing skills to input various data into Information systems Experience in an outpatient practice Able to coordinate NP services, assist patients with office, medications and procedure authorizations and explain process to patients Ability to use EMR and perform chart abstraction into EMR Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft office Ability to prioritize work efficiently Excellent interpersonal communication skills and writing skills Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Must be able to multi-task and be flexible in changing work assignments at short notice, which includes increasing work hours as needed to cover the practice needs Ability to work in a fast-paced setting Education and Experience 1+ Year of x-ray and medical assistant experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Current American Heart Association CPR Certification Certification from an approved medical assistant program or equivalent combination of training Valid X-Ray License through the Ca Department of Public Health About University Foot and Ankle University Foot and Ankle Institute is well known as one of the most technologically advanced foot and ankle practices in the nation.
