Jump start your career with an internship at AHBL We are looking for candidates interested in a 2022 summer Field Engineer Internship to support our Civil Engineering team in our Tacoma office.
As a summer Field Engineer intern, you will gain valuable experience through hands-on-learning in a multidisciplinary firm that offers services in planning, landscape architecture, civil and structural engineering, and surveying.
We encourage professional development in a fun atmosphereWhat You Will DoField Engineer interns will work with a mentor to bring their classroom knowledge to the real world.
Under the mentorship of our project engineers and project managers, you will gain experience with data collection through GIS survey of water distribution and sanitary systems in the field, as well as work on design calculations in the office.
You gain an understanding of engineering drawings, and GIS databases.This internship is expected to be approximately 12 weeks during the summer months.
Interns will work between 30 to 40 hours per week (based on availability) and will include a combination of field work and office work.Required Education And SkillsCompletion of at least one year of college course work towards a two or four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study.
Must be able to obtain security clearance to work at local military installations.Must possess and maintain a valid Washington driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
