We believe in creative thinking and collaboration to help build a better mobility experience for everyone, improving people’s ability to move – whether for work or play.What we do:We are looking for an Electrical Wiring Design Engineer to lead design and test of propulsion system wiring for the Electric Propulsion team.The Electric Propulsion team focuses on design, integration, qualification, and certification of the energy storage system, high voltage distribution, electric motor, and power electronics.

The candidate will work closely with Battery Technology & Innovation, Airframe, Assembly & Integration, Vehicle Management System, Flight Controls, and System Safety teams.

Our ideal candidate has significant experience and expertise in aircraft wiring architectural layout, detailed design, and system qualification.

The person in this role also has a strong capacity to visualize and understand harness routing in the 3D space.

They are encouraged to apply creativity and a collaborative approach to identify design solutions.What you can do: Collaborate with Electric Propulsion and other Air Vehicle teams to develop electrical system requirements Translate requirements into system distribution architecture, layout, and design, including bonding and grounding Design and size cable bundles, wire harnesses, and wire routing using industry standards and the wiring design toolboxes within CATIA Select aerospace connectors and cable shielding to ensure safety and system separation requirements are met Develop and maintain 2D wiring schematics and 3D installation drawings Contribute to electrical loads analysis and system simulations Collaborate with suppliers to ensure successful program execution and compliance with requirements Participate in multi-functional working groups to identify optimal routing of power distribution cablesWhat you can contribute: Experience with full life cycle of electrical harness design, qualification, production, and product support Experience with electric vehicle checkout and testing Knowledge of Electrical Wiring Aerospace Standards Knowledge of Aircraft EMI / EMC design and testing Familiarity with FAA part 23/25/27/28 or other certification experience preferred Familiarity with practical application of DO-160 preferredYou may also be able to contribute: Experience in EV automotive or electric aviation industry Familiarity with wiring and cable bundle thermal management installation considerations Experience with wiring solutions for high power, 600+ VDC aviation distribution systems Experience working with regulatory agencies Experience working on vertical lift aircraft Familiarity with RTCA DO-160 and SAE AS50881We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
