Machine Shop Lead

This is a Full-time position in Anaheim, CA posted February 24, 2021.

Title: Machine Shop Lead

Duration: Direct Hire

Pay: $60,000 to $70,000 Annually

Location: Anaheim, CA

Industry: Medical Device Industry

Experience: 8 to 10 years machining experience including setup, operation and programming CNC machines

Language: English (Spanish Plus)

Education: AA Degree in Machining Technology, Certificate from NTMA, or High School Diploma

Responsibilities :

  • Set up machines and periodically verify parts being machined.
  • Develop new or update existing NC programs.
  • Assist in skills training and interpretation of production documentation.
  • Maintain safe working environment.
  • Meet quality, productivity and delivery requirements of group of machines.

Qualifications :

  • Must be educated in operation of FANUC CNC controls and developing NC programs either MDI or using Master Cam.
  • Must be familiar with PC operation and collection of SPC data.
  • Fabricating jigs and fixtures
  • Grinding cutting tools
  • Using inspection tools including CMM, Optical Comparator, Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gages, Gage Pins, etc.
  • Managing schedules and training employees.
  • Follow Safety Policy and Procedures
  • Developing and maintaining SPC charts

Job Requirements:

  • Achieve completion of scheduled assembly
  • Coordinate assembly of kits and other products
  • Direct staff for fabrication, welding, structural assembly, and production assembly
  • Perform assembly and material distribution operations
  • Running the shop with the lead
  • Performing hands-on production and assembly functions
  • Assist in performing hands-on production and assembly functions
  • Provide guidance to other employees related to valve assembly processes and procedures
  • Identify overburden in specific areas of the assembly line and modify the work load
  • Direct the work of department employees in all stations of the assembly process
  • Train new employees and existing employees
  • Provide lead direction at assigned client site(s) on assigned shift(s)
  • Leading a team of assemblers on a mechanical assembly line
  • Direct the work activities of team
  • Manage the line for efficiency, quality and safety throughout the assembly process
  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly in accordance with standard operating
  • Supervise the daily work activity of all shift personnel
  • Oversee the day-to-day production of the ATO assembly line as directed by Supervisor
  • Direct the work of department employees in the assembly operation on all ATO lines
  • Oversee the day-to-day production of all assembly line(s) as directed by Supervisor
