The mission of the Planning & Fulfillment function is to support profitable growth by ensuring the accurate tactical planning of our demand and our operations, optimizing inventory and resource management and the perfect fulfillment of customers’ orders.

This mission is achieved by balancing and improving five metrics: customer on-time delivery, inventory, lead-time, forecast accuracy and resource optimization.

This role reports to Senior Designer.

As a Planning & Fulfillment Specialist, you will be responsible to ensure safe and excellent Field Service for all existing and new customers.

A direct point of contact for all service needs and scheduling of all service jobs.

Responsible for matching the technical skill sets of the Field Service Team to the needs of customer, fulfillment planning and capacity optimization.

Support field services jobs through support of external labor procurement, materials procurement and invoicing of jobs as necessary.

Your responsibilities Responsible for deploying appropriately trained and qualified Field Services Engineers & Technicians to meet the demands and schedules of customers.

Responsible for maintaining 100% accurate resource schedules using scheduling/dispatching platform and SAP software.

Support field engineers as required through procurement of necessary materials and external labor.

Ensure timely goods receipts for these items.

Upon job completion, reconciling costs for time & material jobs and selected firm price jobs and invoicing those jobs to customer.

Responsible for maintaining monthly/quarterly resource forecasts for scheduled, planned and proposed work.

Responsible to interact with current and new customers to define service requests requirements and timing.

Responsible for communicating job requirements and logistics to Field Service Engineers and Technicians prior to deployment.

Responsible for optimization of resource utilization to meet and/or exceed customer expectations.

Responsible to liaise with Project Managers to staff larger service jobs and to ensure skills sets are aligned with required tasks.

Assist with capacity planning activities for their support areas.

Identify critical skills gaps within their support areas and work with Training Leader to address gap.

Monitor utilization of resources and develop plans to improve utilization.

Follow-up with Field Resources on missing timesheets, missing Field Service Reports, or other deliverables.

Coordinate with other Resource Planners as necessary to borrow/loan resources or backfill as required.

Coordinate with People Leader to assign Senior Field Engineers to lead jobs as required.

Coordinate with People Leader to maintain competency assessments for field resources and develop required training plans.

Responsible for optimization of resource utilization to meet and/or exceed customer expectations.

Remote Position requiring discipline to work independently from home office.

Your background Bachelor’s degree in business or related with 2 to 5 years of experience, or alternatively, a combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Experience supporting Industrial/Electrical Services or Products.

Strong customer mindset.

Excellent communication skills both with external customers and internal customers.

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

Personal Computer competency.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Knowledge of SAP.

Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
