Security Analyst

Ledgent Technology

This is a Full-time position in Anaheim, CA posted January 14, 2022.

The primary role is to implement and support information security programs in support of large retail compamy information policies. 

Core Accountabilities:

  • Develop, communicate and implement information security programs that address people, process and technology risks;
  • Monitor and advise on information security issues related to systems and workflows to ensure internal security controls are functioning appropriately;
  • Collaborate with IT Management, business leadership, general counsel, and public safety to manage security threats and vulnerabilities;
  • Maintain the information security awareness program within the organization;
  • Advise the organization with current information about information security threats, technologies and related regulatory requirements;
  • Perform security risk evaluations and penetration assessments and coordinate remediation;
  • Lead information security incident response procedures;
  • Develop and maintain threat management processes, including computer forensics and necessary chain of custody requirements;
  • Review all system-related security configurations and ensure they are in compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements;
  • Proactively identify creative risk solutions to increase the data protection mechanisms and controls throughout the enterprise;
  • Partners with Internal Audit for the testing and compliance of regulatory controls;
  • Work with a diverse number of technology security stakeholders to implement a risk management program that fulfills the mission and strategic goals of the organization while complying with local, state and federal laws;
  • Work closely with other Information Technology teams to define required security and IT procedural documentation;
  • Develop and maintain information security policies based on industry best practices and compliance requirements including SOX and PCI;
  • Perform vulnerability scans which includes analysis and coordinate remediation;
  • Conduct anomaly and intrusion detection analysis and coordinate remediation;
  • Perform secure coding review and coordinate remediation;
  • 24/7 on call coverage

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology, Information Security discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience of Information Security in a regulated environment, preferable Retail
  • CISSP or equivalent Security Certification
  • MCSE, MCP or CCNE Certification a plus
  • 3 years or more experience with PCI and SOX Information Security controls
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network, application and system security issues, resolution, and security counter-measures across multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols
  • Ability to interface with top management
  • Experience with security policy development, risk assessment, security education, network penetration testing, and application vulnerability assessment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Threat modeling and secure code review experience is a plus
  • Incident response, forensics, and malware analysis experience is a plus
  • Technical knowledge of firewall, networking equipment configuration a plus
  • Familiarity with information security standards such as NIST, CERT, ISO, COBIT
  • Cryptography and Key Management knowledge a plus
