This is a Full-time position in Anaheim, CA posted April 13, 2022.

    -Coordinates the set-up and/or closures of restaurant and lounge areas in accordance with Carlson Hotel standards.
    -Assure that opening/closing checklist is completed and that the restaurant is prepared for opening/closing.
    -In the absence of a host, review reservations, establish a floor map for smooth seating, and assign server sections.
    -Assure staff is aware of food and beverage specials.
    -Analyze labor needs as the shift progresses and promptly.
    -Observe customers as they enter the restaurant and assure that they are greeted promptly and properly and seated in a friendly manner.
    -Monitor and observe guests’ dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests or problems.
    -Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
    -Take orders from guests and servers if necessary.
    -Present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
    -Up sell drink specials and food items as directed by management.
    -Use guest names and personally recognize regular guests.
    -Record all orders accurately and immediately into the Point of Sale system.
    -Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
    -Performs comps, voids and promos for other servers and properly records them.
    -Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patrons.
    -Clear and reset tables.
    -Maintain cleanliness in all areas including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
    -Receive and serve food orders to guests seated in the bar, restaurant or lounge.
    -Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
    -Assist the restocking and replenishment of necessary inventory and supplies.
    -Ensure staff works in a manner that upholds all health code standards.
    -Be aware of issues that are not being taken care of and correct the problem and alert management immediately.
    -Complete closing checklist.
    -Drop cash in the end shift drop box.
    -Complete all side-work duties and ensure all other staff complete assigned duties.

    -Orients employees to the department and hotel and provides on-the-job training on job responsibilities.
    -Assists with and/ or facilitates pre-shift meetings.
    -Prioritizes and assigns work.
    -Provides feedback to the employee and department manager on the employee’s performance of job responsibilities.
    -Coaches employees on effective service and food presentation techniques.
    -Maintains sanitary and safe work environment for guests and employees.
    -Follows the Carlson Attendance Policy.
    -Reports to work dressed according to Carlson Grooming Standards.

Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.

    -Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service.
    -Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems.
    -Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis.
    -Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction.
    -Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality.

Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest.

REQUIREMENTS:

    -Minimum two restaurant experience, preferably in hospitality industry in a supervisor level role;
    -High school diploma required;
    -Strong oral and written communication skills;
    -Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork;
    -Able to resolve conflicts guests, supervisor and employee;
    -Knowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws and regulations;
    -Ability to multitask and work well under pressure;
    -Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    -Long hours are sometimes required, ability to work flexible schedule;
    -Ability to stand for long periods of time;
    -Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and push or pull up to 50 pounds;
    -Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment.
