Sales Engineer Associate

Associate, Sales Engineering role is the primary technical and product resource for theEVO B2B Sales Teams and is a key player in the success of the sales team. The incumbent is responsible forunderstanding the prospect’s current payment processing environment,challenges/issues that the prospect is currently experiencing and thedevelopment of a solution based on EVO’s products and technologies. The incumbent will work in conjunction withthe sales teams as the key technical advisor and will also be the productadvocate for the EVO B2B. The Associate, Sales Engineering must be able toarticulate technology and product positioning to both business and technicalusers. The incumbent will be responsible for understanding current technologyin use by B2B clients such as ERP and accounting systems as well as have anin-depth understanding of key payment technologies such as encryption,tokenization, EMV, etc. The incumbentmust be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout thesales cycle.
What you’ll do:
- Provide regular sales reporting metrics to Director of Sales
- Participation in sales calls either onsite or via conference calls
- Engage in technical and product discussions with technical resources from prospects to understand current processing environment and improvement opportunities
- Based on the information gathered from prospect design a viable solution leveraging existing EVO products and technologies
- Present solution and conduct product demonstration to prospect as part of the sales process
- Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the sales cycle
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of EVO products and technology as well as staying current with changes in the payments market
- Research and document information in regards to general industry and/or 3rd party products or solutions for sales teams, clients and prospects
- Assist in training, testing and providing ongoing feedback to the Development and Product Teams
- Assist in developing and delivering B2B Group product demonstrations
- Manage the implementation of key prospects onto the EVO/PayFabric platform
- Lead the effort related to platform conversions for key clients
- First point of contact for all RFP (Request for Proposal) requests for B2B merchants/prospects
- Responsible for compiling training and/or procedural documents for new hires/existing employees
- Train new employees and manage on-going training of existing Sales Engineers
- Assist/handle large client retention as needed
- Assist in training Retention focused Client Services Rep
- Assist in compiling training documents for new hires/existing employees
- First point of escalation for Sales Engineers
- Travel throughout the United States as needed
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 3+ years in a technical sales, technical client services or product management role
- Experience working conducting technical discussions in a sales environment
- In-depth knowledge of electronic payments required
