Driver

SCOPE

The Driver Technician performs duties that ensure the safe and timely delivery of products to our accounts, customers, and guests. This position complies with instructions and prescribed routines as well as plans routes and deliveries. The Driver Technician operates medium to large trucks daily. The role will also handle minor maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates vehicle to deliver and pickup rental equipment at theme parks, resorts, and other facilities as instructed
• Performs maintenance services for mobility equipment including strollers, wheelchairs, and ECV’s as well as for account equipment such as lockers where applicable
• Exhibits skillful use of all types of tools used in maintenance activities
• Diagnoses and documents equipment problems and repairs
• Delivers orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customer/guest needs
• Ensures document delivery and accuracy, and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives reporting any discrepancies to company
• Collects and returns all paperwork materials and equipment
• Increases customer satisfaction by collecting information, tracking feedback on services and resolutions to complaints, and communicating information back to company
• Communicates the need for recommended or required vehicle service
• Performs or assists with any operation as required to maintain workflow, meet schedules, and quality requirements
• Participates in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies
• Maintains a safe work area and complies with safety procedures and equipment operating rules, keeping work areas in a clean and orderly condition
• Maintains a professional appearance by adhering to uniform policy as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Driver or runner work experience is preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Mechanically inclined and oriented
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Exhibits a willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
• Able to read a map and accurately plan a route
• Exhibits accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact
• Exhibits a professional attitude in a fast-paced environment
