Description: Job Title: Director, Program ManagementJob Code: IMS20212303-58485Job Location: Anaheim, CAJob Description:The Director of Program Management provides overall direction and management to development and production, as well as internal company programs.

As such, the Director of Program Management is a member of the business’s senior leadership team and is responsible for maintaining the continuity of Program Management, Planning and Customer Relations to continue business growth with existing customers.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining exceptional earned value, cost, and schedule performance.

Leads the performance and development of a team of Junior and Senior level Program Managers to execute these responsibilities.This position owns and develops tactical and operational plans and goals for a business area or function.

Recommends and operationalizes strategies that have a direct impact on the mid
– to long-term function/area achievements.

Work requires a high degree of responsibility for resources, and frequently influences business decisions made by leadership.

Recommends and implements new products, processes, policies, standards or operating plans in support of job function strategy.

Typically has budget or Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability for the department.Essential Functions:+ Simultaneously manage interdependent programs and interface with customers (internal and external) effectively+ Manages and directs all phases of programs from inception to completion+ Demonstrate program and business finance competence+ Works with engineering and business development on proposals and negotiations+ Establishes and monitors the program plan (e.g., budgets, schedules and reporting)+ Oversees the development of design concepts and test criteria+ Directs the integration of the program team, which may include: Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Administrative areas+ Establishes and maintains contacts to ensure conformance to requirements+ Directs administration of contracts and communicates with the customerSupervisory Functions:Manages highly experienced professionals, or teams led by lower level supervisors or managers.

Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for department/unit to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business results.

Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within own organization, in accordance with senior management review and approval.

Reports to executive management.

Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualifications:Requires advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business area or functional teams.

Typically has broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines within the organization, combining theory, past practical experience and the organization’s business practices.+ Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience, or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience+ Demonstrated experience in transitioning development programs into successful production, qualification, and deliveryPreferred Additional Skills:+ MBA+ Proven Strategic Leadership in Earned Value Management, tracking performance metrics, and performance-to-plan schedule managementL3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
