Enterprise Risk Supervisor

Wescom Central Credit Union

This is a Full-time position in Anaheim, CA posted April 1, 2021.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:Enterprise risk project planning, tracking, and ongoing operations. Identify scope of projects, identify resources required, develop timeline, monitor progress, ensure timely completion.Coordinate and implement risk assessments in an automated risk management system.Participate in the development of the credit union’s risk appetite and key risk indicators (KRIs). Monitor for variances and develop reporting for management.Create, implement and distribute reports to document enterprise risk management operations and administration.Serve as a liaison between the Enterprise Risk Management Department and other areas within the credit union.Work closely with staff, management and executives within the organization to develop standards, procedures and policies to ensure attainment of enterprise risk objectives.Provide or participate in conducting training, testing and validation of the organization’s risk management processes.Participate in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to further enterprise risk goals.Conduct research within the credit union and externally to support Enterprise Risk Management Department needs. Research regulations, rules and best practices and provide meaningful written analyses.Effectively communicate on behalf of the Enterprise Risk Department, both verbally and in written form, at all levels within the credit union and externally. May attend Committee meetings and functions in a support role to the Manager.Produce ad hoc risk assessments for new products and services, including new branches.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Bachelors Degree and a minimum of two years experience with responsibility for major projects, a general understanding of credit union operations, and in-depth knowledge of Enterprise Risk concepts and execution.Minimum of three years’ experience in financial institutions in the enterprise risk management area or similar background required. Must be able to develop and conduct risk assessments and produce relevant reporting. Advanced relevant college education or certification may be considered in lieu of up to two years’ experience in these fields. PMP certification preferred.Experience with development and implementation of an organization wide business continuity program including administration of a system of business impact analyses, business resumption practices and testing, is a plus.Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and project management software.Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Must be able to adapt communication to the audience.Detail oriented, good organizational skills, and the ability to be flexible while working in a time-constrained environment. Proven ability to work with and motivate others. Professional conduct and appearance.Effective interpersonal skills in order to maintain positive and productive working relationships with staff and management at all levels of the organization.Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Possess strong research, investigative, and analytical skills.Participate in in-house training, self-studies, participate in outside seminars, conferences and classes and participate in professional associations.Committed to Wescom’s Mission and Vision Statements, and Core Values.
