Job Title: Product Manager Job Location: Anaheim, CA. Reports to: Vice President of Marketing About the Company: Weld-On Adhesives, the largest subsidiary of IPS Corporation, is the pioneer and leading manufacturer of Weld-On® solvent cements, primers and cleaners for PVC, CPVC, ABS and other plastic piping systems. Weld-On products are globally recognized as the premium products for joining plastic pipes and fittings and are used by professional installers around the world in a variety of applications such as, but not limited to, construction (residential & commercial), industrial (chemical process, water treatment, mining, etc.), irrigation (landscaping & agricultural) and others. Headquartered in California, Weld-On has state-of-the-art operations throughout the United States, as well as China, and a worldwide network of sales representatives and distributors. Job Summary: The product marketing manager is responsible for driving the product and marketing strategies for the Weld-On Operating Company of IPS. He/she is accountable for developing business plans and collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage existing product lines and launch commercially successful products that address the needs of the consumer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conducting research studies (VOC) and analyzing market data/sales trends to fully understand consumer needs and market dynamics Developing detailed ideations, feasibilities and business cases supported by consumer, market, and business needs; business cases include both a comprehensive product plan, marketing/brand promotion plan and financial analysis Collaborating with all disciplines to bring new, consumer-centric products to market on-time and on-budget Planning and creating accurate profit and loss statements to establish pricing and program strategies that increase revenue and margin; includes understanding the costs of the products and programs (components, labor, shipping, returns, etc.) Responding quickly to the needs of other departments (including sales, engineering, etc.) to improve current conditions and/or capitalize on new opportunities Preparing and delivering well-prepared product and marketing presentations to internal and external stakeholders Issuing accurate model specifications and model changes; reviewing manuals, labels, and packaging Managing the lifecycle of products including SKU rationalization and obsolescence Product managers must complete tasks in an organized, well-thought-out, and timely manner. They must be able to conduct financial analyses present information clearly and logically. They must also be dependable and have the interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and gain support for their action plans to follow through on existing projects or deal with arising challenges. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of product management and marketing experience Management of consumer products, industrial products or packaged goods Demonstrated ability to launch commercially successful product launches Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Management Degree (MBA a plus)
