This Manager works closely with cross-divisional partners to establish and enforce policies and procedures within the organization, maintain and review scheduling needs for the operation, and drive initiatives to improve scheduling and time recording functions. This Manager oversees the Scheduling Coordinators and ensures proper system tracking of time and attendance and scheduling-related records. The Scheduling Manager enforces all applicable labor laws and company practices.Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Establish and develop department standards as the subject matter expert on scheduling and employee deployment within and across the organizationMaintain and manage the time recording process and attendance policiesAnalyze, forecast, and report workforce needs based on operational demands to minimize labor costs and maximize labor forceLead initiatives that improve the scheduling and time recording functions across multiple platformsimprove processes by leveraging technology to drive workforce managementSupport and assist the organization in all recruitment and retention efforts such as job fairs, general hiring, onboarding of new hires, development roadmap, and employee surveysPartner with Human Resources to ensure all organizational policies, procedures, and practices are maintained per labor lawsManage the Scheduling Coordinators teamDevelop and maintain a strong relationship with department clients (i.e., F Department Heads)Ensure departmental schedules are compiled on time and per budgeted labor allocations per eventReview and manage the Availability and Request for Time Off (RTO) processEnsure availability requirements are established to meet operational demandsManage the employee time-off request process and ensure requests are recorded and granted based on operational needsEnsure employee records are appropriately maintained within our primary scheduling systemPartner with the Payroll team to confirm time records are accurately processedManage and reconcile CA Paid Sick Leave balances, track time and attendance infractions, and help support the tracking of training completion/certificationsProvide oversight with the completion of Risk Management-related documentation and follow-up as neededSupport workplace accommodations with management oversightOversee and manage par levels for the uniform roomSupport uniform ordering, distribution, and trackingHelp to foster a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfactionOther responsibilities and tasks as assigned by Honda Center Food and Beverage Leadership teamSpecific Qualifications/Abilities:Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School diploma requiredMinimum of 2-3 years working in a high-volume scheduling environmentMinimum of 1-2 years experience in a management capacityMicrosoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, requiredProficiency with Timekeeping systems strongly recommended; ABI Mastermind preferredSelf-starter; proactive in identifying opportunities for improvementExceptional organizational and planning skills with close attention to detailStrong interpersonal, oral, communication, and written skillsMust be able to interact with other team members in a practical, supportive, and respectful mannerMust be able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as neededMust be able to work in fluctuating temperaturesPhysical Demands: The ideal candidate will be able to work in an office setting. Some days require eight to twelve hours on feet. He or she will be able to exert up to 20lbs of force occasionally.Please note that this position is required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. “Fully vaccinated” means that the applicant can provide acceptable proof that the applicant has received, at least fourteen (14) days prior to the applicant’s start date, either the final dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or a single dose of a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine.
