We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Engineering Operations in Anaheim, CA.nn nn Overview: nn nnThe Senior Manager of Engineering Operations will work closely with customers to implement their overall telecommunications strategy and roadmap aligned with the customer’s strategy and goals.

The senior manager of engineering operations will also be responsible for planning, roadmap development, operations, architecture, and standards.

An important part of this role is to work with key stakeholders to drive telecommunication efforts that bring maximum value from a cost and benefit perspective.

This individual also researches, understands, and articulates industry best practices and latest telecommunication technologies.nn nn Responsibilities: nn Conduct telecommunications planning and strategy/roadmap development with customer representatives.

Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

Participates in planning for 2 years or less time frame; develops work methods and staffing plans.

Drives business results and ensures that Managers and below are delivering and achieving forecast goals as stated: reforecast of 30-60-90-Annual outlook
– Within 4 months expect 20% variance 6 Months 10% variance end of year 5% variance.

Manage, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance of telecommunications suppliers and carriers Track and execute telecommunication requirements and projects through to completion.

Ensures that Managers and below are meeting their invoicing goals.

Less than 5% of dates should be missed.

Track invoicing success DSO’s should be at 90 days.

Ensures that all areas of responsibility have a measureable and definable QC process and that its goals are being met.

Track QA/QC pass/fail rate less than 5% of design should fail due to quality Lead and coordinate work efforts of the telecommunication team on a daily basis.

Ensures that Managers and below are completing their personnel functions.

Provides meaningful monthly performance feedback to the team and individual team members.

Exercises full supervision in terms of staffing, work and performance management, salary decisions, training and disciplinary issues.

Supports the development of the telecommunications operating budget and maintains necessary controls to ensure compliance with budgeted expenses, resources, and staff projections.

Stays educated on and articulates telecommunication trends, technologies, and changes the engineering team.

Interfacing with new clients/customers and maintaining a good solid working relationship with our current customer base.

nn Qualifications: nn Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience Must have 15+ years of experience in telecommunications  Extensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry standards, practices and regulations pertaining to the engineering of fiber optic outside plant facilities Extensive knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements Understanding of permitting requirements for State Department of Transportation, as well as other state, county and city permitting agencies Working Knowledge of AutoCAD/Microstation or similar CAD drafting software Ability to solve problems creatively while leveraging substantial analysis and data interpretation.  Ability to perform and/or manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities concurrently Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization Highly organized Strong leadership skills Computer proficiency with Google, Excel, and Word nnEngineering Associates (EA) offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
