Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and facilitate the activities of the MBIS product development team that performs test activities, maintenance activities, and feature development

• Coordinate technical activities for the product development, integrated testing, and maintenance teams in the U.S.

and Morocco on a daily basis to ensure that the project process is progressing according to plan

• Create detailed, long-term project planning with detailed plans and resource deliverables for all phases, from ideation to design, to release and customer communication, and employee training

• Communicate and train Idemia US and Morocco teams to ensure internal quality standards and delivering updates on time and on budget

• Coordinate between all team leads to ensure that technical design, architect, development, implementation and release will not negatively impact the existing product line or customer expectation

• Identify project dependencies and other components necessary for project advancement to ensure that work will not be blocked

• Determine project delivery timelines and prove status updates to key stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization

• Analyze product prioritization in JIRA to ensure that teams are on track to deliver on assignments

• Set goals, priorities, and detailed tasks for the product development team by maintaining a prioritized backlog in the JIRA database

• Determine priorities by coordinating the needs of the various stakeholders including Product Management, Business Line Project Management and Customer Service

• Produce feasibility evaluations and review technical designs for each project

• Lead technical validation process for product enhancements

• Determine resource needs during Sprint Planning

• Collecting information from the Product Development Team Manager regarding the team’s availabilities so tasks can be planned appropriately for the team

• Review team output to verify resource allocation and to optimize the value and productivity of each team

• Evaluate the team’s effectiveness at the end of each two week Sprint by measuring the amount of work done compared to what was expected

• Evaluate how the team progresses toward the overall project target and implement changes required to meet the project goals

• Changes may include asking for additional members or negotiating the scope of the project delivery with the stakeholders

• Communicate regularly with management regarding the status of current projects and initiatives

• Lead and represent the Product Development team in a series of meetings with management

• Conduct a weekly review for internal management and a monthly review for stakeholders

• Coordinate technical activities for the product development, integrated testing, and maintenance teams in the U.S.

and Morocco on a daily basis to ensure that the project process is progressing according to plan

• Plan and schedule software releases based on planned content of the project to estimate target completion date and prepare the release of documentation

• Create access to software to stakeholders once it is complete following the software release process

• Provide metrics and status during the weekly review, including burnup charts, which help predict completion dates, number of bugs found, number of bugs fixed and average team velocity

• Review unit testing and debugging to ensure internal company quality

• Identify problems and recommend improvements to ensure that integration tests provide sufficient coverage for all existing and new products

• Facilitate design reviews by the Product Development team to ensure the team completes the review and the design is approved by management

• Provide software estimates by coordinating with the Product Development team to gather the technical estimate and present these estimates to stakeholders

• Perform risk management by identifying potential risks and creating risk mitigation plans.

• Monitor potential risks continuously during the course of the project and mitigate plan to correct issues if and when they arise

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field

• Must have between five and seven years’ experience in a technical role such as software development, systems analysis, database administration, etc.

• Must have a knowledge of project management principles, practices, procedures/processes, techniques, and tools

• Must be able to comprehend and effectively translate customer’s requirements into functional technical specifications

• Must be able to develop project budgets and projections

• Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written as well as presentation skills

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills; must be confident and at ease dealing with a variety of personalities, both internally and externally; must be a facilitator, and have conflict resolution skills.

Must be able to develop strong business relationships with individuals serving as part of the project team, internal and external resources, and customers

• Must have effective team management skills

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills allowing for thorough consideration of all aspects associated with project implementation(s)

• Must be able to manage multiple, and sometimes conflicting, priorities as well as multiple tasks/project simultaneously while meeting company’s commitments including project deadlines, quality, budget, and customer expectations; must have the resiliency to work extended hours, when required, specifically for proposal responses with specific time deadline

• Must have advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.)

• Must be available to travel
