nn Job Description:nn nnThe Sr.

Product Marketing Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of Targus Products, and more specifically, Technology product lines (i.e.

Keyboards, Mice, Hubs, Adapters and Docking Stations) for the Americas.

You will use data driven analytics, launch strategies, product mix, product portfolios, and ongoing evaluation of products necessary for the region to achieve your goals.

You will also be responsible for increasing sales and profitability through channel sell-through initiatives and marketing activities in Retail and B2B channels.

The Sr.

Product Marketing Manager is critical in the definition and implementation of winning product marketing strategies (deliverables, setting priorities, ensuring deadlines are met, etc.).

As a result, this role will have frequent interaction with functional leads across several departments, which will require excellent communication and collaboration skills.nn nn nn nn nn nn Responsibilities & Duties: nn nn Define strategies and initiatives that drive Targus sales revenue, profitability and market share for a portfolio of Targus Technology product lines for the Americas; US, CA, LATAM.nn nn Use Data, Analytics & Market Research to drive sales in Retail & B2B Channels.nn nn Lead cross-functional teams consisting of members from Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Logistics to drive sales and channel execution in a timely manner.nn nn Perform ongoing market research through market data analysis, customer contact, surveys, trade shows, sales data/evaluations and industry trends.nn nn Monitor competitors” products and conduct periodic analyses to ensure pricing is competitive in market.nn nn Identify opportunities to leverage successful SKUs/product families into new accounts.nn nn Work with marketing managers, product managers and designers to relate the voice of the customer and develop winning product strategies.nn nn Actively launch new products to the sales team and channels with monthly and quarterly New Product Launch meetings.nn nn Develop training materials for new product introductions for use by Sales.nn nn Act as lead person in the daily collaboration with, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Sales teams to deliver on product pricing, positioning, placement, promotion and sell through.nn nn Energize the Targus sales force to execute category strategies, helping them to clearly explain our vision for Targus and the mobile connected worker.nn nn Develop an understanding of all elements of our business (quality, supply chain, distribution, etc.) to create a competitive advantage in the Retail & B2B channels.nn nn Required to meet KPI”s for the Sr.

Product Marketing Manager responsibility (will also be required to meet or exceed budget numbers and inventory metrics).nn nn nn nn nn nn Experience and Educational Requirements: nn nn Four-year college degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field.nn nn A minimum of 5 years of similar or related work experience within computer or consumer goods industry.nn nn Previous experience with technology products a plus.nn nn Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal required as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.nn nn Individual must possess initiative, good judgement and creativity as well as public speaking abilities.nn nn Highly proficient computing skills with emphasis on MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Word).nn nn Applicant is required to work out of our International Headquarters in Anaheim, California.nn nn 10% Travelnn nn nn nn nn nn Essential Skills, knowledge, and experience: nn nn Individual should be a self-starter, and show a demonstrated ability in understanding, creating, and articulating the product technology, development, and marketing vision along with strategic direction for new product solutions.nn nn Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and effective management of multiple priorities.nn nn In addition, marketing and sales experience with retail and distribution channels, are a plus.nn nn Background in Product Marketing, Product Management, Category and/or Channel Management with experience in bringing new products to market.nn nn Must have experience in product pricing, competitive positioning strategies and channel programs.nn nn Maintain a safe and clean work environment.nn nn Understand and follow company rules and regulations.nn nn Perform all other duties as assigned and required.nn nn nn nn nn nnby Jobblenn
