Vice President Business Development


This is a Full-time position in Anaheim, CA posted April 5, 2021.

ONSITE ENERGY, a Willdan Company, is rapidly expanding its Business Development team that is dedicated to support utility energy and capacity reduction programs and assisting its many industrial customers in identifying energy efficiency solutions and project implementation.

 Our ideal candidate will provide action-oriented vision and leadership enabling the organization to grow revenue through new and existing customer accounts.Success in this role requires maximizing collaboration with Willdan’s industrial team throughout Southern California and nationwide, developing and executing a strategy to capture both new business and grow strategic accounts.

 We offer salary based on experience, and a lucrative commission structure based on performance, as well as medical insurance, 401K Plan, mileage reimbursement, expenses, laptop, and cell phone. It’s a great opportunity to join a recognized nationwide leader in industrial energy efficiency.Responsibilities: Develop and execute a sales plan and strategy that maximize market penetrationBuild an impactful sales funnel from prospecting and existing business partnershipsLead and motivate a sales team, setting individual sale targetsTracking sales goals and reporting results to management  Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team Taking manufacturing managers, process and maintenance engineers, and C-level executives through the sales processCoordinating project engineering, utility incentives or rebates, and project implementation Representing our services in a professional and creative mannerRequirements:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Minimum of seven years related experience.Experience in generating new business.A proven track record of selling energy efficiency projects, or industrial products, within the industrial sector. Have passion, be driven, entrepreneurial and creative.Have strong written and oral communication skills.Be team oriented and comfortable collaborating with other staff.Travel throughout California and national areas is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.Physical Demands:This position requires frequent travel and driving throughout Southern California to industrial sites and national travel to coordinate national sales.

 Position will require sitting for extended periods of time; as well as walking and touring through customer sites.

 May encounter loud machinery, uneven floors, and ducking under low beams on occasion.

 The employee occasionally lifts and carries paperwork or objects weighing 35 lbs or less.
