Description:Oversee and manage the financial and accounting functions of the credit union to include: ALM, AP, AR, budgets, liquidity, GL, financial analysis, financial reporting and recordkeeping, investments, payroll and taxes.Present monthly reports to senior management and periodically to the Board of Directors.Monitor and report cash balances as well as asset concentrations.Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the constant improvement of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the Accounting Departments goals and objectives.Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly.Ensure that monthly general ledger (GL) reconciliations are completed.Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis.Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.Issue financial statements and complimentary reports.Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations (peer groups).Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.Calculate variances from the budget Provide a system of management cost reports.Financial analyses for capital investments, pricing decisions, contract negotiations and investments.Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual auditMonitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Administer the investment portfolio.

This includes purchasing, selling and recording all investment activity.Liaison for the credit union during annual external audits and examinations by the regulatory agencies.Prepare and disburse the quarterly 5300 Call Reports to the federal regulatory authorities.Manage the credit unions Asset Liability Management function.

This includes administration of in-house software and collaborate with third party vendor, which includes delivery of information and interpretation of output.Manage the ALCO (Asset Liability Committee), which includes reporting and running quarterly meetings.Prepare monthly statements of cash flow with forecasts.Credit union management, leadership and board meetingsOversee the Accounting Departments electronic payment function, which includes ACH, mobile platforms and debit/credit cards.administration of Bank Secrecy Act.About Aston Carter: At Aston Carter, were dedicated to expanding career opportunities for the skilled professionals who power our business.
