Jr. Accountant

This is a Contract position in Anaheim, CA posted May 31, 2022.

The primary function of the Junior Accountant is to assist the finance department with basic accounting and bookkeeping functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and assist with out of balance research as needed Perform various monthly balance sheet reconciliations Review coding of employee credit card charges and expenses making corrections as needed Maintain, manage, and tend to outstanding checks Maintain unclaimed property spreadsheets and documentation Maintain Prepaid and Fixed Asset schedules Assist with reviewing general ledger ledgers for accuracy Run monthly reports to be used during the close process Track and update locations of equipment as needed Assist with property tax filings Provide back-up and support to the accounts payable department Vendor set up and maintenance Maintain the accounting document files Quarterly use tax evaluation and reporting Performs other duties as necessary > Education and Training: Associate’s degree in Accounting or relevant experience 1-3 years of accounting or related experience > Other Qualifications: Excellent attention to detail High level of trust Microsoft Excel

– able to write moderately complex formulas and analyze and manipulate large amounts of data.

– Experience with Intacct accounting platform Physical Requirements: Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.

Substantial time is spent working on a computer.
