NYSE: AMCR; ASX: AMCJOB SUMMARY:Palletizer/Zecchetti Operator employees are responsible for the operation of multiple labeling machines and palletizing machines using written work instructions and computer interface. Requires a general understanding of overall manufacturing process and the ability to understand and follow good manufacturing practices and product safety requirements. Qualified candidates are responsible for starting and maintaining Palletizer and Zecchetti Operation with a complete and overall understanding in the assigned area of responsibility.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Ensures that all machines within the scope of responsibility are kept running and palletizing them while ensuring the least amount of down-time possible. Includes communicating shift hand-off with on-coming shift personnel and maintaining a clean and organized work area and label storage area.* Completes all mold changes and set-ups, and minor maintenance activities.* Directly responsible for the proper support to all other team members to ensure a positive team environment.* Checks and monitors quality on all assigned machines by understanding and recognizing all visual quality defects and how to make appropriate adjustments to correct quality defects.* Maintains all required documentation of quality checks, downtime, housekeeping and data entry.* Understands and utilizes all related software and other equipment required for efficient production of quality product. Verifies production schedule to ensure product is being labeled accurately.* Follows all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Amcor “Safety Contract” and other training. Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co-workers, Leads and Managers. Properly uses all required personal protective equipment.* Demonstrates organizational ability to complete daily clean-up, and 5S assignments, and adequately maintain good housekeeping throughout the entire area of responsibility.* Performs other related duties as directed by the Production Supervisor and/or Shift Lead.* Adheres to Product Safety requirements regarding cleanliness and notifies or takes action on any observations that may create a product safety risk to our customers.* Immediately reports any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents in their departments.* Takes reasonable care for self and others to prevent injury.QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalentPreferred: Previous manufacturing work experience* Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports and correspondence.* Able to recognize and understand numbers and values.* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and customer needs.* Ability to visually and mentally make priority decisions / judgement calls based on the situation at hand.
