Position OverviewAV Support Technicians are an important part of our technical support efforts.

They work closely with Extron technical support engineers by conducting testing with software and hardware that is integrated into professional audiovisual systems.

AV Support Technicians maintain and laboratory test environment and ensure effective testing and system configuration.

They also support other groups in the department to provide product information and practical system support.

ResponsibilitiesConduct setup, testing and tear down of Audio, Video and Control Systems in a laboratory environmentOversee the organization and upkeep of test lab spaceCoordinate and track test lab product and equipment inventory and calibrationMaintain technical knowledge of Extron products and technologies QualificationsBachelors or Associates degree in engineering, electronics or a related fieldExperience working as an Audio Visual Technician may be considered in lieu of an academic degree.Expertise with standard tools, concepts, practices and procedures of the professional Audio Visual fieldExperience in the assembly, wiring, and configuration of audio, video and control systemsProficiency with AutoCAD is a plus.Proficiency in the use of audio and video test and calibration equipment is a plusExperience in IT and computer networking is a plusAnalysis, problem solving and troubleshooting expertiseExpertise on MS Suites including Word, Outlook, Excel and Power PointStrong communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment
