Description:THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN UNION, WANORTH FORTY LODGING LLC REQUIRES COVID-19 VACCINATION AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.Successful candidates will either (i) receive a COVID-19 vaccination, or (ii) qualify for exemption from such vaccination requirements for reasons specified in applicable law.

(More information below)GENERAL SUMMARY:The Steward position is a general utility position responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods.

This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary food and beverage facility.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.Sort and stack clean dishes.

Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas.

Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.Remove trash and garbage to dumpsterSet up or break down dishwashing area.Clean and roll/unroll mats.Full/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutionsSweep/mop floorsAssemble/Disassemble dish machineSweep up trash around exterior of kitchen/loading dock/dumpster area
– hose down as neededConducts general restaurant, kitchen and restroom cleaning as directedWipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dryNotify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperaturesDo not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands firstDelivery and set-up daily of family meal to the employee meal area at designated timesOther duties as directed.

Thorough completion of duties.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS:Ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a commercial kitchen.

Candidates must be able to read and comprehend labels on chemicals.
