Responsibilities:
Providing employees with information relating to benefits, payroll, 401(k), safety, company policies, job duties, etc.
Forming and maintaining employee records
Perform various administrative duties
Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of all new staff members; including, but not limited to, completion of all pre-employment practices and screenings (background check, drug screen, new hire paperwork, work authorization, etc.), collection and verification of existing certification(s)/license(s), facilitating new hire trainings, etc.
Responsible for creating, editing, and implementing company policies, as well as forms and other written materials for the Human Resources department
Providing direction to all staff on company policy and work-related guidelines
Ensuring compliance with local and federal regulation and applicable laws
Assisting in the disciplinary and termination process as needed with involvement in unemployment paperwork and/or hearing process as required
Assist with payroll
Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills:
This position requires the following minimal requirements:
Thorough understanding of Human Resources; knowledge of Federal and State regulations, agencies, and employment practices
Excellent communication skills
Ability to maintain and create a filing system as required
Strong leadership, personnel management, and supervisory skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent organization and time management skills with strong ability to prioritize and multi-task across competing demands
Excellent verbal/written communication skills with evidence of effective collaboration across businesses and functions
High-level computer skills
Skill in organization and record maintenance
