This position will report directly to the Head of Talent Operations.

The individual in this role will play a critical function in defining and establishing a project management strategy and approach across the HR organization.

The leader will support the development of a project methodology, inclusive of tools and templates, governance and oversight, and intake and assessment.

This role will also manage a series of cross-functional projects for the HR department, as well as representing HR in broader engagements for the organization.The ideal candidate for this role will be a flexible yet structured, collaborative leader who has a demonstrated track record of effective project management and process improvement.

We are seeking someone with strong change management and influencing skills.Reporting relationshipsReports to: Head of Talent Operations and Project ManagementSupervises: TBDPrimary functions and essential responsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Partner with the Head of Talent Operations and the HR Leadership team by providing project management and execution support to achieve the desired goals.Develop and implement a Project Management methodology and approach to ensure consistent project execution across the department.Develop project tools, including, weekly status reports, intake form, project charter, stakeholder register, etc.

and define optimal approach to collect and share this information.Support annual Program and Project management planning.

Develop a cross-functional process partnering with HR stakeholders and IT to determine scope, timing, cost, and resources for the upcoming year.Oversee external project managers and ensure resources are following process and managing projects in a consistent manner and in line with Ares’s methodology.Manage HR projects, applying best practice project management principles to ensure successful outcomes.

This includes managing resource allocation, budget, tracking of project status, timeline, risks, dependencies, issues, and communication of project updates to senior stakeholders across the firm.Ensure allocation of resources in accordance to priority; track and report project status as appropriate and provide full transparency on actions, budgets, and results.Work in partnership with all HR Functional Leads and IT to catalog all requested projects, enhancements, and process changes.Coordinate with IT implementation teams to ensure consistency of design and adherence to established business processes for requirements documentation, enhancements, and quality assurance.Assess process improvement/project requests for risk, cost benefit analysis, cross-project impact, and dependencies.Advise and participate in change management plans and execution.Establish an acquisition roadmap and oversee acquisitions as it relates to HR-related tasks and responsibilities.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree requiredMaster’s Degree preferredExperience Required: 7-10 years’ experience in a leadership/consulting/management role, with a focus on program/project management and HRProven experience leading large-scale HR projects at a global organizationPMP is preferredStrong MS Project and/or Smartsheet abilitiesExperience providing updates to senior leaders, including C-suite executivesExperience building and generating project tools and roadmapsComfortable managing, developing and leading staffCurrent industry leading practice expertise regarding project management, process re-engineering and change management within HR functions.Must be an excellent communicator (oral and written) and possess strong leadership skills.Ability to engage and contribute in a highly collaborative working environment with both functional and technical team members.Knowledge of system design and functional configuration of applications.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and MS ProjectGeneral Requirements:Ability to manage challenging workflow in-fast paced, dynamic organization, managing multiple assignments in a deadline driven environmentStrong management skills, including proven experience of managing and/or collaborating with teams in remote locations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and high level of supervisory oversightStrong sense of ownership and accountabilityChange agent / leader, self-motivated, self-starterHigh accuracy and detail orientationAbility to multi-task and prioritize deadlines; result orientedOrganizational skills, demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and lead large scale projects to completionExcellent communication and client service skills; capability of interacting with key stakeholders to direct prioritization of program related activityAbility to proactively and continuously identify and analyze problem situations to develop an effective and improve course of action for resolutionAbility to work independently within a fast-paced environment (with a hands-on approach)Ability to be flexible in terms of hours in order to coordinate with team members across time zonesComfort in dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty in a dynamic environmentAn analytical mind and a passion/interest in bringing new ideas to increase efficiency of existing processesDependable, great attitude, highly motivated and a team playerAbility to handle confidential information appropriatelyReporting RelationshipsIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you’ll enjoy your career with us
