JOB TITLE: Director, Consumer Software Product ManagementDEPARTMENT: Marketing, Software Solutions REPORTS TO: Sr.

Director, Product ManagementLocation: RemoteJOB OVERVIEW: This Position is perfect for a Senior Product Manager ready to take the next step into a Director role.Director of Software Product Management will lead product planning and execution for Ambry’s consumer software products portfolio.will identify unmet customer needs and champion new ideas to drive growth in our core genetic testing business and in new market segments.

Duties include portfolio strategy, product roadmap development, market research, and PM team management.

You should be analytical and savvy with a strong mix of software development expertise combined with product management know how and a desire to make an impact in healthcare.

You should have experience operating both at breadth and depth as a people manager in a complex environment.

From a breadth perspective you should be comfortable driving cross-functional organizational alignment.

From a depth perspective, you should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to dig into product gaps, deeply understanding the problems to be solved and driving strategic and architectural decisions for the future success of our software products.

You will work closely with Key Opinion Leaders and represent the voice of the customer in defining user requirements and target product profiles for new tests.

The Director will also develop and present compelling market analysis presentations for inclusion in decision point reviews, strategic plans and business development analyses.

You will collaborate with counterparts in marketing, sales, R& D, BD, clinical and other departments to ensure that products meet evolving customer needs.

Develops and champions the product vision for the customer, knowing that in healthcare the “customer” can be the patient, the physician, the payor or all three at once2.

Develops software product roadmap with understanding of level of effort and return on investment3.

Identifies customer needs and thinks big and ahead on new business opportunities4.

Develops the business cases and creates the analyses to present recommendations5.

Communicates market trends and competitive intelligence6.

Conducts market research to support obtaining market and customer insight7.

Develops and provides leadership for a high performing software product management team III.

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Does this position directly supervise others?

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE: Strong technical product management experience in a consumer software compacity Extensive product lifecycle experience-coordination and strategy, road mapping, team directives PMP or Project Manager certification strongly preferred 8 years in progressive software product management experience in a mix of D2C and B2B2C5 years of people management experience Knowledge of the life science and/or genomic industryBachelor’s degree or higher
· You are analytically savvy and aim to make data-driven decisions
· Can clearly communicate your thought process and provide the business case to back up recommendations
· Excellent writing and presentation skills
· You have built product teams and know how to develop team members
· Strong understanding of software product development within the regulatory landscape Demonstrated track record of building a strong product portfolio
· High flexibility and willingness to roll up your sleeves V.
