Kitchen Prep Cook (Entry Level)- Food Production and Manufacturing

This is a Contract position in Anaheim, CA posted March 1, 2022.

Under the direction, of the Executive Chef the employee will perform Prep Cook’s functions and ensures efficiency & compliance of all Prep Cook’s duties and responsibilities. Other duties may apply.
All employees are responsible to follow all of Nutrition Corp. protocols of Food Safety.
Essential Duties:
Duties include and not limited to wash, cut, peel, chop by hand or machine vegetables, meat, and other ingredients for cooks to execute meals. Undertake other cooking duties such as boiling, seasoning, roasting, etc. Must be able to stand for continuous hours and be able to promote a teamwork environment by assisting other prep areas in the kitchen. Maintain a clean working environment by sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and washing dishes as needed. Be able to push and pull 100 lbs. or and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Properly learn and execute all of our recipe procedures
Maintain kitchen cleanliness per safety & sanitation policies
Keep food orders flowing continuously from the kitchen
Complete assigned prep work to stock and set-up stations Manage Sauce Recipes, formulas and yields
Ensure recipes are followed accurately
Communicating issues, revisions, and all changes to “sauce bible” in a timely manner
Assist kitchen operations in executing recipes
Be knowledgeable in diet restrictions per meal plan and ensure ingredients are accurate according to meal plans
Monitor stock and ingredients needed for sauce production
Coordinate with Inventory Clerk to ensure accurate movement of ingredients
Communicate effectively to Executive Chef of Operations and Supply Chain regarding ingredients needed

Work Environment:
While performing the Kitchen-meat prep duties, the employee will work in a kitchen environment.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, crawl, stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach. Lift/push and pull up to 50 lbs. Work in cold/hot environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Standard days and schedules are usually Sunday-Saturday.
Days and hours are subject to change depending on Company needs.
Education Preferred, But Not Required:
· High School Diploma/G.E. D/Equivalence
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
Authorized to work in the USA
