X-Ray Technician (Part -time, 12-16 hours per week)

Aliso Ridge Behavioral Health & Anaheim Community Hospital

This is a Full-time position in Anaheim, CA posted January 1, 2022.

Anaheim Community Hospital has an exciting opportunity to be a part of our new behavioral health team in Orange County.

Scheduled to open in 2022, Anaheim Community Hospital is a 98-bed acute hospital that will offer inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs, as well as medical psychological services.

It will service Med-Psych, Adult, Adolescent and Children patients.

The X-Ray Technician will perform diagnostic x-rays with a Digital Radiography/ Fluoroscopy system for patients of all ages They will follow established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.

Requirements

Education

* Graduate of accredited Radiology Technician program.

Licensure and Certifications

* Current certification through the California Department of Health Services (CRT) required.
* Fluoroscopy certificate required
* BLS certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) approved program preferred.
* Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.

Knowledge and Experience

* Previous experience with Digital Radiography/ Fluoroscopy system.
* Minimum one (1) year of previous Radiology Technician experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations.
* Knowledge of radiologic safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations.
* Knowledge of radiologic equipment uses and maintenance.
* Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
* Ability to proficiently use a computer and electronic medical record.
* Ability to maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality.

Comply with all HIPAA regulations.
* Customer service oriented and ability to be friendly, cheerful and helpful to patients and others.

Ability to meet patients and others needs while following hospital policies and procedures.
* Detail oriented with the ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
* Ability to be flexible and adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the position is frequently required to do the following:

* Use standard office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.

Use computer keyboard with manual and finger dexterity and wrist-finger speed sufficient to perform repetitive actions efficiently for extended periods of time.
* Communicate effectively in person or via telephone in a manner which can be understood by those with whom the person is speaking, including a diverse population.
* Give and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Perform complex mental functions and basic arithmetic functions; interpret complex laws, regulations, and policies; collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.
* Vision: see details of objects at close range.
* Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Reach forward, up, down, and to the side.
* Frequent standing, walking, grasping, carrying, reaching, bending, stooping and speaking.

Occasional sitting.
* Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50lbs, with assistance if needed.

Work Environment

* Environmentally controlled hospital environment.
* Exposure to radiation which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective lead aprons, gloves and other shielding devices and monitored by radiation badges?
* Possible exposure to bodily fluids, infectious specimens, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common in a hospital environment.
