Job detailsSalary: $18.00/hourJob Type: Full-timeNumber of hires for this role: 1QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED, requiredThree years of experience working in the helping profession, preferredFull Job Description:We are seeking committed individuals to provide supportive services to individuals who are receiving substance treatment at Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center.

Under the direction of the Director of Housing and Employment, the Career Coordinator networks with organizations in Chicago to establish partnerships and linkages to secure jobs for AnB participants.

Essential Duties: Develops and maintains successful relationships with employers to seek new job opportunities for AnB participants.Find job openings which are targeted and focused to the demographics of participants served.Screen and refer qualified applicants to employers and conduct consistent follow up with both employer and participant once applicants are placed.

Assist clients with job applications, resume writing, interview preparation and job retention skills and attitudes.

Collect data from employers including job requirements and skills in order to successfully match applicants.Assess the barriers participants face when job seeking and seek to remove those barriers while creating autonomy within clients.Monitors participant performance on the job and provides counseling and support to those participants who struggle with job performance.

Document and track all interactions with clients, as well as any employment related information in electronic medical records.Prepare and submit reports and complete data entry as required.Education and Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be able to work with diverse groups of individuals including AnB program participants, agency and program staff and representatives from other service providers.Above average knowledge of basic computer skills; Microsoft Office, experience with Electronic Medical Records.High school diploma or GED required.Three years of experience working in the helping profession.Job development and placement experience preferred.Adept in participating in discussions and interacting with diverse groups of individuals including AnB program participants, agency and program staff and representatives from other service providers.Benefits:Health InsuranceDental/Vision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offOpportunities for professional developmentSchedule:Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pmCOVID-19 considerations:Proof of vaccination is required for clients and staff.
