Component Test Engineer


This is a Contract position in Anaheim, CA posted May 24, 2022.

Job Summary: Amentum is hiring a Component Test Engineer to support high-profile DoD programs at NSWC Crane.

This position involves developing and maintaining test procedures and test fixtures of electronic components such as resistors, transistors, transformers, and integrated circuits.

The selected candidate will work as part of a collaborative team with the following responsibilities:Develop electrical tests for validation against component specifications.Collaborate with environmental and radiation test teams to complete component characterization and testing.Work with Configuration Management and Quality teams to manage releases and revisions of test fixtures, software, and test procedures.Perform characterization of newly designed components to verify operation to design requirements.Train engineers and operators to correctly perform testing of components.Review test data and reports prior to being provided to customers.Maintain existing fixtures, software, and test procedures.Migrate tests to new equipment and systems, as needed.

Visit: to learn more about our exciting work supporting the Crane Naval Base Minimum Requirements: Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and impedance analyzers.Experience with troubleshooting and debug of electronic test circuits.Experience with electronic component testing and characterization.Ability to travel nationwide, as needed (10%).Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Must be a United States citizen.

Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of relevant experience.Proficient in scripting languages (i.e.

perl or python) and data analysis.Knowledge of LabView.Knowledge and experience with MIL-STD requirements.Experience with design of Printed Circuit Boards.
