End-Point Management Engineer

This is a Contract position in Anaheim, CA posted July 12, 2022.

Description A hands-on SME accountable for all elements of an end-point management ecosystem, primarily centered around Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), tightly integrated with both on-premise & Azure Active Directory services, and core capabilities including or leveraging Auto-Pilot, InTune, PowerBI, PowerShell, Group Policy & Packaging.Over & above engineering ownership of the technological platforms within the wider ecosystem, ensuring that the multi-platform end-point landscape is known, managed, secured & compliant is paramount.Provide engineering, architecture & governance, for native services, as well as the wider 3rd party tooling & capability ecosystem.Qualifications Duties:Produce & sustain enterprise designs for end-point management platforms/capabilities
– drive execution at global scale.Manage global governance process to ensure compliant implementations.Deliver highly automated, telemetry driven outcomes across the end-point management landscape.Ensure organizational, market/vendor best-practices/standards/lifecycle are understood, documented & enforced at scale.Identify opportunities to innovate, extend & enhance service delivery everywhere possible.Serves as escalation point for troubleshooting, provides guidance & direction of escalated issues and/or problems.Produce & deliver a global operating model that matures, enriches & enhances operational posture.Ensure full alignment with ServiceNow ITSM practices, while ensuring that the SCCM content is aligned with the CMDB.Create & maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, & sustenance.Develop automation workflows, consumer self-service & service portals across the end-point management tooling stack.Develop & sustain a singular application packaging capability, accommodating regional, country/language nuances.Provide knowledge transfer & training as required globally.Serve as the collaborative conduit between engineering & operations for all aspects of end-point management.

Essential Skills:Hands-on & deep-level experience with Microsoft SCCM & Microsoft AD (Including group-policy) technologies/capabilities.Hands-on & deep-level experience with WinRM, PowerShell, PowerBI, Auto-Pilot, Patching & Packaging.Hands-on & deep-level experience upgrading platform versions as well as consolidating/rationalizing disparate platforms.

Expert knowledge in developing & enforcing administrative policies within toolsets including AD & SCCM.Deep & thorough understanding of monitoring/management best practices, including vendor/market benchmarks.Develops, documents, & enforces the standards, security procedures, & controls for access to ensure integrity of the Windows Systems, Active Directory, & related systems.Extensive experience with infrastructure & server theories, principles & concepts; application infrastructure & standards; networking fundamentals; Windows; Physical Server architecture technologies.Knowledge of server VMware & Azure virtualization architectures & capabilities.

Experience:Minimum 8 years overall IT experience with 5years of experience working with end-point management technologies.Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users.Experience working in a fast paced, globally diverse & agile environment.Track record of engineering, developing, deploying, & maintaining business critical systems in the area of technical expertise including hands on solution development & implementation experience.Self-motivated team Player with a “can-do” attitude, excellent communication & writing skills, attention to detail & strong interpersonal skills, capable of overcoming difficult or complex challenges.
