Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Manager, Supplier Quality Engineering2 to join the sector Supplier Performance Management Team within the Advanced and Strategic Global Supply Chain (GSC) team.

This position will lead the Supplier Performance Field Engineering team for the NGMS sector and includes the continued integration and support for the GSC Category teams.

This position may be located in Baltimore, MD; San Diego, CA; or Woodland Hills, C As a key leader of the Supplier Performance Management team, this leader collaborates closely with the division Supplier Quality/Performance managers, the newly launched Operations Execution team, Quality & Mission Excellence and GSC to provide strategic thought leadership and preventive solutions to ensure the quality of procured material and services.

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success leading a large organization, meeting and exceeding internal customer expectations, working with various disciplines within the aerospace industry as well as suppliers with a consistent focus on positioning the team for success.

Ensure organizational policies, procedures and work instructions are best in class and effectively and efficiently implemented Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and related data points to identify and pursue systemic improvement opportunities with our supply base.

Develop organizational strategies to improve supplier quality performance, resourcing, and create efficiencies.

Work to clear obstacles for the team and the NGMS operations organization in order to position us, our suppliers and our programs for success.

Serve as leader to develop appropriate metrics to drive process and performance improvements.

Well versed in the development and assessment of RCCA’s.

Depth of knowledge in industry RCCA tools and methodologies.

Collaboratively develop tools to improve efficiencies within the organization and improve visibility for both internal SQ and QME/GSC/PMO partners Serve as leader within Supplier Quality organization to ensure progress to organizational improvement initiatives Develop and instill data-driven processes to measure supplier quality performance.

Assess tools and methodologies for product and process inspections and assessments today and continue to improve and evolve from a state of the art and innovative perspective.

Promote the professional development of the Supplier Quality team and foster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and 9years of industry experience in Program or Project Management, Quality, Mission Assurance, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering.

Experience managing and/or leading teams or projects.

Experience in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.

High proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and databases.

Excellent written and verbal interpersonal, communication, leadership and mentoring skills and confidence to brief upper management on a regular basis.

Demonstrate strong leadership characteristics Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Experience in the oversight and management of suppliers, supplier evaluations and supplier metrics reporting.

Demonstrated understanding of the program / product lifecycle in the areas ofsupply chain management, operations, inventory control, production control, product test & evaluation, root cause analysis, product sell off, shipping and product support as they apply to quality.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in STEM preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, System Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Material Science or Supply Chain.

Master’s degree inan engineering or managementfield.

Specifically in mechanical engineering.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process.

Certified Quality Engineer through ASQ Certified Lead Auditor through ASQ Defense Industry experience as a Program or Project Manager, Quality Manager, Supplier Quality Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Engineering Manager or Manufacturing Management Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification to drive continuous improvement.

Demonstrated ability to apply strong analytical skills.

Familiarity with J-std, IPC 610, IPC 620, GD&T, RCCA, FAI, Knowledge in various manufacturing processes (e.g.
