Saw Operator

Job Description The Production Saw Operator is responsible for the set-up, adjustment, and operation of high-speed, custom-built aluminum saws. Responsible for maintaining precision sawing tolerances on aluminum extrusions, plates, acrylic and bar items. Essential Functions · Equipment set-up · Extrusion / acrylic cutting · Arrange cut extrusions on skids · Follow priority of jobs required by production · Supports production work cells by pulling and cutting all work orders and materials necessary to complete shop orders · Check and replenish fluid for lubrication system · Check and remove chips from saws when necessary · Recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions · Comply with all established company safety procedures and policies Education · High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Experience · Minimum 6 months’ related experience and / or training Skills · Must possess basic computer skills · Ability to use judgment related to identifying potential safety hazards · Ability to perform basic math functions · Ability to use measuring tools such as measuring tape and calipers · Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds · Ability to read blueprints
