Surgery Scheduler

Description: Tayani Institute is seeking a dynamic, energetic and knowledgeable Surgery Scheduler to join our growing and thriving Ophthalmology/Optometry practice. Our practice provides a broad array of ophthalmology, optometry, optical, and plastic surgery services. We are a high volume, fast paced practice offering competitive compensation and benefits. Duties & Responsibilities: Obtains prior authorization on surgical procedures and clinic procedures as required Communicates the financial aspects of the patient’s surgical and medical care with the patient. This includes a written explanation of fee schedules provided prior to surgery and documented in the chart Work supportively & professionally with Tayani Institute surgeons and staff, as well as with primary care physician for surgical clearance Works with the doctors in clinic providing in-person patient consultation to schedule surgeries and provide patients with written/verbal explanation of surgery process and requirements Creates and completes surgery charts and provides them to the surgery center within the required time frame Travels between offices Communicates effectively with patients & physicians Requirements: Medical office insurance and obtaining authorizations; Ophthalmology experience preferred, but not required Flexibility Ability to travel between offices Effective communicator to patients & physicians EHR experience at least 1+ year NextGen preferred PM22 PI184361278
