Alcon: Associate Director, Global Regulatory Affairs

Key Responsibilities:Leads close collaboration with internal stakeholders and supports multiple life cycle management related projects in the Surgical FranchiseIdentifies and executes non-project related ” Regulatory excellence” activitiesProvides assessments of changing regulations and guidance, and identifies any needed changes to internal policies and processesIn a timely manner, provides solutions to a range of regulatory issues and has the freedom to act independently to executeProvides leadership, ensuring high quality regulatory support for assigned products/projectsLeads negotiations with internal and external stakeholders (e.G., regions, Health authorities) to align on an optimized regulatory strategy in order to achieve business objectives.Represents the organization as the primary internal contact on key regulatory issuesDevelops submission packages that are clear, concise, and complete to facilitate reviews/approvalsDevelop and manage global regulatory strategies to maximize the value of the products/projectsKey Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively with multiple stakeholdersEnsures timely, clear communications to internal stakeholders on project status and issuesServes as role model and embraces corporate Values and BehaviorsDemonstrated good organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work across a broad portfolio and adhere to timelinesMeets individual goals as defined in the annual objectivesAbility to support the business by communicating effectively, managing issues proactively, resolving conflicts and mitigating risksAbility to excel in a matrixed environment and influence internal and external partners to achieve desired business outcomesStrong writing skills and editing in the form of high quality regulatory submission documentsCommitted to drive efficiency while maintaining qualityDrives superior results by taking initiative, planning and implementing projects, setting priorities and holding self and others accountable to meet commitmentsEngages stakeholders to co-create value, influence, align and lead internal and/or external stakeholdersBachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 15 yrs; Assoc.11 yrs; M.S.4 yrs; PhD3 yrs)The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English7 Years of Relevant Experience5 Years of Demonstrated LeadershipWork hours: Monday FridayTravel Requirements: 10% Relocation assistance: NoSponsorship available: No
