O VERVIEW Reporting to Project Manager, the Field Supervisor is responsible for aerial and underground linemen, substructure crews and fiber splicing for the day-to-day supervision of the company’s In-house resources with the assistance of the Project Manager and job foremen. This includes ensuring the crew members to meet the needs of the business, overseeing crew scheduling and monitoring quality and production. The Supervisor will monitor production by daily interactions with linemen, substructure, and fiber splicers. Review of daily production and hours worked. Daily review, correction and approval of production reports is critical to the success of the Splicing Supervisor. Review and understand the cost of dig requirements in aerial and underground line work, substructure, and fiber splicing Set production expectations for each crew foremen Manage AsBuilt completion procedures in conjunction with invoicing processing Track and monitor actual cost and production results. Ensure work is being assigned and performed to meet required completion dates Ensure quality standards of construction are met Review associate daily reports to ensure they are accurate and complete Monitor and control overtime costs by person Work closely with the Client to make sure the in-house crews are being assigned to work and the work meets schedule and quality requirements Oversee construction crews to ensure they receive the appropriate safety training, and the splicers are routinely inspected for compliance Recommend corrective action for associates that are found to be in violation of company policies Ensure company policies for hiring and termination are followed Adhere to company policies, regulations, procedures, and principles Assist in other duties as needed and directed REQUIREMENTS Minimum of three years’ experience in managing all construction teams Very good communication skills using, oral communication, written communication as needed Strong computer skills, with emphasis using Microsoft Word, Excel Ability to comprehend complex instructions and direct construction crews to accomplish the desired outcome Must have excellent and active driver’s license Developing Your Career at HCI, You Will: Contribute to a sustainable future improving the lives of people, communities, and companies.
