POSITION SUMMARY As a Manager of Payment Services for Abound Credit Union, you will be engaged in a rewarding and challenging environment to support the organization’s payments program.

This position’s responsibilities include supervising and leading back-office payment operations including ACH, Wire Transfer, Mobile Deposit, Share Drafts, Bill Pay, A2A, P2P and all other applicable programs that fall under these categories.

To be successful, this person will need to manage competing priorities on a day-to-day basis, including assisting with project management, providing service to other Credit Union departments, adhere to sensitive timelines, and have a strong working knowledge of payment services.

The position’s responsibilities require a person who is detail oriented and ability to learn new items.

Coaching and training employees on day-to-day payment services duties is also a key component to success.

The Payment Services Manager supports and contributes to the culture by promoting teamwork, growth and development, collaboration, and innovation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Supervise employees in the Payment Services Department that are primarily responsible for payment services functions to ensure that day-to-day servicing and tasks are completed in a timely manner, with proper levels of accuracy and accountability.

Maintains vendor relationships for those vendors that are critical to a successful ACH, Wire, and Mobile Deposit and Share Draft programs.

These include, but are not limited to the Federal Reserve, Online and Mobile Banking vendors, DataSafe, EPCOR along with other third-party vendors.

Coordinates with Risk/Compliance suspicious activity to limit fraud losses and maintain suspicious activity reporting.

This includes reviewing wires, ACH exceptions and inquiries, requests from financial institutions and mobile deposits.

Aids and supports member and employee inquiries to ensure that the payment services team is providing accurate and quality member experience.

Continuously search for methods to improve the efficiency of the payment services processes throughout the organization as well as opportunities to reduce operating expenses and increase overall member engagement and usage of payment products.

Assists with payment projects including planning, training, communication and implementation.

Oversees operations and compliance with Regulation E as it relates to unauthorized ACH transactions.

Works with other departments/branches to provide training and communication anytime items occur that could impact them.

Responsible for the balancing and settlement of all products managed by payment services.

Ensures they are settled properly and resolves any discrepancies.

Stays up to date on any regulatory changes that are occurring within the payments systems.

This includes any new rules or updates to rules provided by NACHA.

Performs other duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED: Minimum of high school diploma or GED.

Detail oriented with the ability to make connections in data.

Professional, well-developed written and verbal communication skills necessary for supervising Credit Union personnel, communicating essential information to CFO and Director of Payment Services.

Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a willingness to support others within the Credit Union.

Ability to act independently and make decisions.

Ability to input data to automated systems accurately and quickly.

Ability to deal professionally with members attempting to resolve problems.

Maintains professional demeanor in all situations and for clear self-expression orally and in writing.

Ability to conduct research in online data systems.

Ability and willingness to learn new computer applications, technologies, and procedures.

DESIRED: Formal Education beyond High School.

Previous Supervisory Experience.

Accredited ACH Professional certification.

Previous credit union experience in teller operations, member resources and/or accounting functions.

Training and/or experience with ACH, Wires, Mobile Deposits and Share Draft operations.

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Working knowledge of DataSafe and/or Teller Navigator, and the Federal Reserve.
