Vice President, Information Technology


This is a Contract position in Anaheim, CA posted July 16, 2022.

Direct, develop, administer, and coordinate all phases of the IT department operations. Collaborate with the CTO, setting the short- and long-term strategic objectives while providing the management necessary to achieve profits, growth, or other goals of the organization.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and communicate the strategic objectives and determine specific information requirements for managementAchieve desired results using budgets, proper contracts, and efficient decision makingImplement the installation and operation of information systems and equipmentKeep current on new developments in information systems technology, and plans for future upgrades and organizational changesKeep abreast of government regulations applicable to systems operations and ensure corporate complianceCollaborate with CTO and manage overall technology health and roadmap across ocV!BE, Anaheim Ducks, H&S, Rinks, ACC, and Honda Center by maintaining and continuously improving desktop, server, and network operationsWork closely with peers, staff, and leadership to accomplish organizational and department goalsEvaluate new processes and technology for potential deployment to improve standardization, speed of service, and cybersecurity postureEscalate issues to appropriate management when necessary to minimize service interruptions and control project outcomes to align with the agreed-upon budget, scope, and timelinesCreate a process of continuous improvement by performing project postmortem analysisManage and develop junior staff members to promote career growth and bench strengthWork closely with vendors to establish deliverables, ensure quality, and manage budget and timelineIdentify applications, hardware, and software that may need to be upgraded or replaced, and work with stakeholders to establish budget and project pipelinesCoordinate with staff from each IT area to facilitate technology outcomesDirect and prioritize the workload of subordinate personnelAssist in building relationships with vendors and negotiating cost-efficient contractsCoordinate outside IT consulting assistance Lead efforts to improve IT processes SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fieldMBA preferred Significant infrastructure architecture experience in both Data Center and Cloud environments15 or more years of experience in managing infrastructure/operations resources with at least 7 years at the Director or Senior Manager levelMinimum of 10 years leading projects of increasing complexity and budgetCandidates with experience in event operations strongly preferredCandidates with experience in universal data platforms and/or customer data platform management strongly preferredMust have extensive experience in the oversight of networks, desktops, systems, Wi-Fi, and security solutionsExperience establishing and driving service desk metrics with ServiceNowStrong understanding of mobile device management and zero trust architectureProven experience creating and implementing standard processes across disparate organizations to create efficiencies and support growthExperience with PCI, CCPA, HIPAA standards, and tools used to support compliance requiredAble to prioritize and adapt to meet changing needsExcellent follow-through skillsAble to complete projects on time and on budgetA self-motivated leader who thrives in a growing organizationAble to troubleshoot and logically work through various steps to resolve issuesExcellent communication and influencing skills, written and oralAble to establish a good rapport with management, staff, and vendorsOutstanding time management and organizational skillsStrong collaboration and people skillsPlease note that this position is required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  “Fully vaccinated” means that the applicant can provide acceptable proof that the applicant has received, at least fourteen (14) days prior to the applicant’s start date, either the final dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or a single dose of a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine.  Vaccines must be authorized and/or approved by the FDA.  Applicants needing an exemption to this requirement due to medical, disability-related, religious or other protected reasons may request an exemption.  The Company will engage in an interactive process to determine if an exemption to this requirement as a reasonable accommodation is appropriateThis position is on-site
